Compare habitat and niche
habitat is the environment where something lives - (Sharks in the ocean)
but niche means the adaptive role of the organism in the system (sharks adapting to the different water pressures)
Plants and animal adaptation:

In the Marine Biome some ways to adapt are to Regulate salt intaken, Obtaining oxygen, adapting to water pressure, Dealing with wind, waves and changing temperatures. Also getting enough sunlight, (mostly for plants)
